I took this photo while summiting Mt. Mansfield in Vermont. I was bored and decided to do a morning hike. I started climbing at 5AM, and took the sketchy path up the long trail to the summit. I’m slightly scared of plants so the low altitude part was kinda scary with the amount of brush that existed along the path. I only got lost a few times and I do owe my life to my downloaded GPS maps but it was chill i guess. The summit was beautiful and was so foggy I couldn’t see anything beyond ten feet in front of me. However because I was sweating, it was a really nice way to cool off. Overall I would rate this path 10/10. I then hiked 6 more miles. Fun day.
While I wish there was intent on the composition of the photo, it was snapped while I was exhausted and sadly did not think to take the camera that put an enormous hole in my bank account out of the bag on my back, and take a photo with it. So instead I used my also overpriced iPhone to take this photo. Subconsciously, I wanted a photo that had a path in it, but also showed the alpine greenery and the natural rock. Those green evergreen like trees might be my favorite plants. There were also cool berries that looked like blueberries. I should’ve just tried to eat one.
